And the Saga Continues....

The first round of the affiliate links is in. This set was for the section that is currently the largest so I'm glad that it is taken care of. I've said it before but I'll say it again for anyone who missed it. Never again will I wait until I have this many articles to put up a site. There is really no benefit that I can find in doing it this way beyond having a lot of content when the site goes live. Ten solid articles and then the site goes up from now on. It just takes far too much time trying to make changes to all 25 articles at the same time. This is time that could be used actually CREATING new articles or even new sites.

I'm still waiting on one merchant to approve me and I think I will apply to one other. Which one that will be is still up in the air. It's pretty much down to choosing between three. All three have their benefits and the commission rates are about the same so I'll have to determine some other criteria for the decision. Being allowed to link directly to sections of their website would definitely clench it. With my first merchant, I sent an email today to find out if I'd be able to do this. I have articles geared specifically to certain products and I would like to link directly to those sections. I think a direct link would be more effective than one that goes to the home page.
