The "Hustle"
I watched a video by Anik Singal the other day. In it he talked about how traffic to your sites is built by "hustling" with the the boring, methods you always hear about.

And he's right. I know he's right. I've known this for a long time - and yet I keep getting pulled from the path by the latest traffic generation method. How far I've fallen from the guy that wrote the post about not needing to buy guides because everything you need to know is out there for free...
So, I'm working on my hustle. I set a plan that focuses nearly exclusively on building traffic and I'm going to stick to it. I've unsubscribed from nearly everyone's list and I'm just going to take it week by week.
The plan focuses mainly on creating videos for Youtube and forum posting. I'll let you know how it goes.
Tonight I was able to write 2 scripts for my #1 Product Site and 3 scripts for my #2 Product Site. Those are the only two that I'm focused on right now. Tomorrow, I will create the actual visual content for the videos so that I can shoot, edit, and post them on Wednesday.
I also went through my #2 Product Site and cataloged the posts that I want my VAs to focus their backlinking on. So far, we have had one serious success - a page that is ranked #6 out of 249,000,000 pages on the broad match. Yeah, it's insane! So, I'm going to have them do more of the same for the rest of the traffic fodder on the site and see if we can make some moves there.
I was going to do a few blog comments/forum posts tonight but I may save that for tomorrow morning. We will see.
...I wish I had just focused on the hustle at the beginning of the year. Oh well, you pay the price for laziness and lack of diligence. No regrets, just have to push forward.
