Product 2: Progress Report

I have 4 of 9 modules of the product complete. The last interview and 4 of my own modules need to be completed before I can say I have a product that is ready to go.

Nerves are starting to get to me. I want this to be my first high priced product but there is fear about its reception into the market. This was the same case with my first product. I priced it at $49.95, not because I thought it was a price I could get but because Frank Kern did an interview with Stephen Pierce where he said, "It's easier to sell something for $50 than it is to sell something for $20, so don't ever sell something for less than $50". I followed that advice and my product is the number one informational product on Clickbank for my topic.

Now in Mass Control, he says that $100 is the new standard. He was right the first time so I'm going to follow him again. Doesn't make it any less scary though=)

Phase 2 Complete...

...on Product 2. I've run into some technical difficulties with the product creation but hopefully I can take care of those tomorrow. Unfortunately it looks like I will have to drop some cash on a new sound card before that can happen.

The next step is to prepare the final package and start the launch set up. I'm going to do this right. Frank Kern's launch of Mass Control will be my study guide. I will have tools for my affiliates to help them make the launch roll out. At $50+/sale in commission, they have some incentive to get this working too. Fear and excitement are definitely the words of the week.

Also, go say "Congrats!" to Jean-Rene. He has launched his first product and has already made sales from it!

Death of Adsense

I knew it would happen eventually. It's just the nature of the beast that is Adsense. My home theater site dropped out of Google a couple of weeks ago, cutting my Adsense revenue in half over night. While my Adsense wasn't anything spectacular, it did cover half of my Adwords budget every month. Considering the small revenue it brought in, it really isn't worth the effort to get the site back into good rankings at this time. There is a bigger problem.

All of my business revenue now relies on Product Site 1. That's the scary thing.

Hark! There is good news! Product 2 is nearing completion; hopefully to be finished this week. After completing one portion of it today, I think a $100+ price tag would be right. I plan to poll the list after they have had a sample and ask what they would pay for it. Who knows, I may be lowballing myself=)

Stumbling Block

Things were going well, too. My newest product was coming along nicely but I can't seem to get Camtasia to record the audio you would hear from my speakers. This is a big problem for a number of reasons but it means that I can't do a lot of things that I had planned to do for the product just yet. The Camtasia website suggested getting the Sound Blaster Audigy SE card some success with it and recording audio. I may have to pick that up tomorrow.

Another one of the interview is pretty much useless. We had a bad connection and feedback on the line was recorded in the background. I have sent her an email to see if we can do it again but have not received a response yet.

Other than that, I'm still chugging away.

BIGGEST BUSINESS MISTAKE OF 2008!!

And it isn't what you think. No, I don't think Mass Control was a mistake. Quite the contrary!

The biggest business mistake I have made so far this year... not fully preparing my affiliates and letting them know about the method I was going to employ this week. I let them know that they could expect some changes over the next few days but I didn't really say much more than that. The reason being I didn't know how things would go.

That was a HUGE mistake because things have exploded from this Mass Control technique. If I had prepared my affiliates, they could have jumped on for the ride and generated extra commission... and more money for me=)

Next time, I will have them fully prepared. I'll let them know a week in advance and have banner ads, audios, and all kinds of other things available to help them push my product. If I had done that this time around I probably would have doubled what I have generated so far!

Mass Control Technique #1

...Is working fairly well. The first day brought in sales fast but the second day only had $35 by 7 PM when I went to dinner with my girlfriend. However, by the time we came home that had all changed and sales had more than doubled. At the rate things are going, the sales won't pay off the price of Mass Control in my case because my product is too inexpensive and my list is fairly small but I can see how a larger list and/or more expensive product would be monsterous.

I conducted the 3rd interview for Product 2 last night. It was rough, there were all kinds of technical difficulties and things of that nature. The interviewee was informative and nice enough to offer to redo the interview if it didn't turn out well. I'm going to have to listen to the audio and see how it turned out.

I've also developed a method by which Product 2 and Product 3 will be able to sell for more than anticipated. For Product 2, I'm shooting for $97-127 and Product 3 $49.95-57. We will see.

Try As I Might...

...I can't seem to stay on top of the blogging=(

I am making progress though in a big way. Last month was huge! Largest grossing and netting month in my 3-Years-This-Month of internet marketing. I would give you the numbers but honestly I have become superstitious. Everytime I tell anyone other than my girlfriend specific numbers, things fall apart. We will just say that if I can continue growth like this, achieving the $120/Day Exit Income won't be that far off.

Get this. I bought Frank Kern's Mass Control. Yeah, all $1997 of it! He promised that I would be able to make my money back with it so I decided to take the gamble. And it was a fight to get it too! The site went down, I was so nervous that I kept typing 1109 as the year my credit card would expire, and all kinds of other foolishness.

I just implemented one of his techniques last night and have seen significant sales from it today. We will see if it will be enough to pay off the $1997.

The program is broken into modules and he's only released the first one so far. That one had some information that I had never known about as well as some strategy planning techniques. I'm thinking this program is going to be worth it.
