Crazy Night

I had every intention of getting PPC2 up last night. I worked out for the first time in a month, made dinner, and ate too much. I layed down around 8 and work up at 5:30 this morning. So I got to work this morning and PPC2 is up and running=)

PPC2 Merchant Secured

The new merchant for PPC2 has approved me and the form is complete. In order to avoid a situation like with the last merchant, I am keenly aware of sending high quality leads to this new merchant. I did some work on the thank you page in order to hopefully elicit those warm fuzzies that will make the visitor more likely to convert for the merchant. To call the last thank you page I used mediocre would be a compliment. This one is much better and has less of that "fly-by-night" feel the other pulled off so well=)

If all goes according to plan, PPC2 will be back in business tomorrow.

I have another pay-per-lead merchant ready to go for PPC5. The form is finished already. It is a really quick one. Commission is $17.00 per lead. You know, I don't know if a site should even get a name until it has proven itself. Look at what happened with PPC4. Its name is Robert Paulsen....

This month has been bad even for Adsense. This has been the first time since I put up the original 3 sites that I have been below double digits in CTR. Alas.

New Merchant!

With the death of PPC4, I have been on the look out for a new merchant for PPC2. Previously in A Day in the Life of JonnyQ888, I was cut from the pay-per-lead merchant that I had been using for PPC2. I was able to locate another merchant today that pays almost as well as the original. I have spent the day retooling my form in order to accommodate the new fields they require. The good news is that their form is much much shorter than that of the original merchant=)

That is pretty much it for now.

Death of a PPC

PPC4 has bitten the dust. Over my vacation, costs got out of hand and there were absolutely no sales to show for it. I did not even get a singl sign up on my autoresponder list. While I had high hopes for the site, the design I created will be the template I use for the new PPCs.

The new remodel of PPC3 is finished. I have cut all of the non-performers and turned the ads back on. Tomorrow will hopefully show that the effort was worth it.

Back From Las Vegas

I'm back from my vacation in Las Vegas. I had a great time and have definitely been inspired to work harder on the Business. I should be able to go on week long vacations whenever and whereever I please. I should not have to worry about whether I have enough vacation time saved up or if my boss needs me during that period of time.

Summer has definitely hit my earnings. PPC4 isn't looking like it will make the cut for programs that I will continue into July.

PPC3 - Reworked Again

As my strategy dictates, this is the month to try to get the sites that show promise profitable. Traffic is starting to trickle into PPC4. It is just a matter of finding more keywords as usual. One thing I did notice though, the majority of the visitors clicked through to the merchant. This prompted me to start rework on PPC3.

PPC3 is headed in the right direction. The design is very similar to PPC4 and it looks as though that style will be the PPC Template I've been looking for if it converts well.

I agree with Jenn. I will be developing my own products based on the Original 3 sites, including HTAR. That will be later on though. Those of you using autoresponders successfully, what is the best way to gather people to your list without affecting sales? It would seem that those pop-up subscribe forms would put people off. Is this the case?

Enter PPC4 & The Autoresponder

Yes, PPC4 is finally up and getting traffic from Adwords and Overture. I tried to blog last night but I wasn't able to log on. I have to say that out of my PPCs PPC4 looks the best. We will see if that translates into sales. One thing that this site has that none of the others had before it is an autoresponder. Yes, I am hardheaded and it takes me a while to break out once I get set in my ways. After seeing the results Burke had with his list, I knew I was making a mistake by not using one. PPC4 has a 5 day course set.

Logically, the autoresponder is the way to go. I have been looking for ways to improve conversions and this may be one method. Having been in sales in the past, I know that it usually takes more than one attempt to sell someone on a product. Why I decided that one attempt was sufficient for affiliate marketing, I don't know. If anything, more attempts would be needed to surmount people's fears about getting ripped off online.

I have temporarily shut down PPC3 so I can rework it and add the autoresponder there, too. I will let you know how it goes.
