Finally Moved In

This weekend has been crazy. I have finally moved into the duplex and it needs a lot of work. I'm sick right now so that is making everything worse as far as getting things cleaned and organized. Unfortunately I have not been able to market the product as well as I could since I have been so busy. The result, a total of only $360.95 for the month. Not bad when compared to my normal take from affiliate marketing but I KNOW that the product can make more.

After getting the duplex organized (you have no idea the toll having a chaotic house has on me) and during the Christmas break, I will start embedding mini-ads in my autoresponder mailouts. I've done it for one but that is not nearly enough.

Sorry for not writing more, I know some of you are interested in the whole "have your own product" thing. I'm going to try to get things back to normal now that I don't have the stress of moving to deal with.

Now What?

I'm starting to think that maybe now that the video is out, that this maybe the hardest part. Getting the sales up. I've only had two so far and I think this could be partly due to Christmas. The people who I am marketing my product to are ones who would buy it for themselves. That may not be the best for the Season of Giving=) Anyway, I now have a product and the game is a bit different. I can change prices, change sales copy, add bonuses, etc.

**Update**
Made 3 more sales this today while I was at work. I believe these sales were a direct result of me sending out a follow up email to my list. $225.35 since launch!

PRODUCT LAUNCH!!

This week has been hectic but I FINALLY launched my product yesterday around 2:45 PM. Yes, I left work early so that I could do it=) I was too antsy to stay and there were many things I needed to get finished before the launch. After a lot of editing to the html and my account info on ClickBank, I was able to get things ready to go. I actually received email from a couple people saying that they had looked for my product but couldn't find it. Imagine that=) Well, last night there wasn't a stampede for the product as I had hoped. I went to bed disappointed because I had not made a single sale on launch day.

At 3:13 AM and hailing from Great Britain, Mr. So and So became the first person ever in life to BUY MY PRODUCT. Less than 24 hours after launch I have had my very first sale!! Hmm, I may have to change the About section on this blog to "Internet marketing" rather than affiliate marketing.

Now the real work begins. In order to get affiliates I need a strong sales conversion rate. There is a product called StuffedTracker that I am looking at getting. It tracks everything and allows you to set up split tests.

The adventure ensues....

Two Days Left

That's right, two days left until the launch of my product. I received some email from the subscribers wanting to "reserve" their copy. I take that as a good sign. 3% sales rate is the goal - that would be a gross $1498.50.

Ramp Up to Launch

I've decided to go ahead and launch with initially only one bonus. Instead, I will work on the other two bonuses and make sure they are good before releasing them. On the thank you page instead of letting the customer download the product immediately, I will ask for their name and email address so that I can send them "unannounced bonuses and coupons for future products". This way I can create a seperate list of people who are willing to shell out money for my products.

I sent out the first broadcast announcing the finished product last night and letting everyone on the list know that Wednesday is the day. There were 1039 people on the list at last count. I hope I get a good sales percentage from that. The launch will hopefully go without a hitch because I have a lot of things to do with the duplex right now. I'm so busy it isn't even funny.

ClickBank Rejection

Well it isn't that serious. They just wanted me to put an actual email address on the thank you page rather than a link to my contact form and to change my money back guarantee. I made the changes and resubmitted. We will see how it goes.

My tennant has moved out and I tried to inspect the place last night but it was dark and the electricity had already been transferred elsewhere. All in all it doesn't appear to be bad so I'll go back today just to make sure and to give him his deposit check.

I plan to paint, add carpet, and fix the roof initially before I move in. These are exciting times in the life of JonnyQ.

Thanks for the support everyone=)
